As a freelance writer, Kelley has written dozens of how-to books, as well as countless essays and articles for magazines, publishers (such as Fodor’s Travel Guides), and books (like the Baltimore Review 2022 Anthology and Chicken Soup for the Wine Lover’s Soul). She’s in demand as a contract medical and business writer, and she has ghost-written how-to crafting books and managed special issue magazines. To feed her creative spirit, Kelley reads, hikes, sails, and travels as often and as far as she can. Over the years she’s raced hermit crabs in the British Virgin Islands, slept in an Irish nunnery, listened for ancient whispers in Pompeii, snorkeled with a shark in Belize and stingrays in Bora-Bora, tried not to look like a sardine while swimming with a thousand dolphins off the coast of South Africa, and commiserated over the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune with Shakespeare’s ghost in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
