Writing Prompt

Write a scene about a non-writer at a writing conference (maybe a detective investigating a crime, or a pilot staying at the hotel where the conference is held… it’s up to you!). They’re surrounded by writers, editors, agents, etc. What would stand out to this non-writer? Would they find it exhilarating, inexplicable, confusing, energizing, ridiculous, illuminating?
